LATE

Here's some of the book I have been working on...
--------
Abigail and Sarah are best friends. Have been since the third grade. Neither one of them have moved out of the same house since their parents brought them home from the hospital. Living only a street away from eachother they were used to seeing eachother everyday.
Abigail works for the local Hospital which feels like she is there every hour of the day, besides being a full-time student in College. Both Abigail and Sarah are studying Fashion, naturally. While in their last semesters of a two-year program, everything seemed to change dramatically.
Sarah works at the grocery store up the street, has been for nearly 6 years now.
Their lives seem perfect, could get any guy they wanted, popular friends, nice clothes... Their the typical girls that every other girl admires.
When abigail suddenly has weird things happening to her body she doesnt think twice about it, simply ruling it out as working too much and over-doing herself. Until she is reminded of the past weekend with Jake.
But was it really what happend over the weekend or something more serious?

LATE

Chapter 1:

5:30 a.m. I read on my alarm clock. 30 minutes past the time I should be getting up. Lately I have been so tired, always waking up late. I wasn't exactly sure, and never thought anything more of it as far as health reasons went. I just thought it was because I had been working myself to hard, and in reality I was. I was working over-time at the hospital for what I wasn't really sure of because it wasn't like I was being paid any more for it. I still got my ten dollar per hour of course but you would think working at a hospital they would at least pay you more for over time.

As I slowly began to wake up for what felt like a long time before getting out of bed. I contemplated whether or not to wear jeans or shorts for the day. Before looking at my clock I checked the weather outside my bedroom window, noticing it was sunny and slightly breazy I glanced at the clock; 5:40 a.m. Shit, I am going to be late for class, again I thought.

I quickly made my way to the bathroom to have a quick shower before turning my clock radio on which had the morning announcers gossiping about the temperature for the rest of the week and weekend. "Well Andy, looks like another great week for us." "Indeed Sal, we've finally got temperatures in the double digits. Not to mention in the low twenties." A sigh of relief went through me knowing that not only the rest of the week was going to be good, but also the weekend.

Several minutes later my quick shower turned into a ten minute one.

I was standing in front of my closet figuring out what to wear, with my hair still dripping wet when I heard Taylor Swift's "Fifteen" come on. It was one of my favorite songs by her.

I tried on several different outfits while signing the song. "Cause when you're fifteen and somebody tell you they love you, you're gonna believe them," I sang while staring at myself in the mirror pulling up my torn up light washed jeans and my multi-colored tank-top with a faint butterfly design on the front I had recently bought from Charlotte Russe. I'll go a little country style I told myself.

Satisfied with my choice I applied my make-up and blow dried my hair. Looking at the clock which now read 6:45 a.m. I had approximately 15 minutes to eat before I had to be out the door and in my car.

As I pulled up on Sarah's driveway I reached down at the volume knob turning down the music while glancing at the digital clock; 7:15 a.m. The real time actually being ten minutes later as I never did get my clock changed since the last time my car was in the shop. I honestly don't know how to change the darn thing. It's in the manual I'm sure of it, but obviously haven't had a chance to read it.

"Heeeyy, gooood morning!" Sarah shouted from outside her front door and began running towards the passenger side of my car. "You're late."

"I know, I know... Don't remind me." I was late every single day that past week. (Monday and Tuesday). But than again I probably wouldn't be late myself if I didn't have to stop on my way and pick you up I thought. Besides, who is she to get upset if I'm late anyway. She should be thankful she has a ride. That's one of the disadvantages of owning a car before any of your friends -- they begin to take advantage of you!

"You won't believe what happened last night."

Oh god hear we go again, not even out of her drive-way yet and she already had to give me the 411 on all the drama I missed the previous night. Sarah loved to carp, and I hated drama, which was the reason I decided not to go out last night, only to hear about it in the morning...

"And... what's that?" I said in the most uninterested sounding voice there is possible, while turning the corner and her house no long in sight, slightly turning the music up. I glanced over at Sarah and saw that she had a mouth full of her muffin chewing as if she were trying to beat a world record muffin eating contest.

Still chewing she mumbled something that I couldn't understand when she than turned down the music which than I realized she had said "turn it down."

Clearing her throat she continued , "Emily got totally out of hands at the Stampede last night." No surprise there, she always drink heavily.

"I'm not surprised," I finally said still in an uninterested voice, "especially at the stampede." The stampede was this country bar over on the far part of town, they always serve the cheapest drinks which in turn of course makes you want to spend the exact amount you would anywhere else, only getting more drunk.

"I know, but last night was insane! She fell off the railing she was sitting on backwards almost breaking her neck, she ordered another shot after that incident which ended up all over the dress she was wearing which happend to be mine that used to belong to you and than as we were leaving getting into Cody's car she pulled the door open and scratched the car parked beside us and in turn put a huge dent into Cody's car!"

Poor Cody I thought, dealing with these girls and then getting a dent in his car door. "What did he say?" I asked seeming somewhat finally interested, turning into the school parking lot.

"Nothing, he just sat there in his drivers seat, didn't say a word, even after dropping us off back home, he didn't even look at either one of us.... I thought he was going to cry by the look on his face."

I parked my car in between two others which had barely fit with enough room to get out before saying anything else. My car was a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP so it was quite wide compared to most of the Volks Wagon Jetta's parked in the lot.

"Well.. maybe it was best he didn't say anything, you know how Emily can get when shes drunk."

"Yeah, your probably right." Sarah replied while squeezing out of the car door.

"I am so glad our classes are finally done this semester.. It's been a long two years." I said with a long sigh of relief grabbing my bag from the trunk.

"I know, I'm super excited to start our own clothing business." Sarah squeeled.

"Yeah, we really need to start thinking about how to start it all up." I said in all seriousness.

"Well... we're only about 10 minutes late, -looking at my watch- I don't think Deb will mind that much. Besides I hear she was just giving us time to go over our stuff for the final exams and that she would just be there to answer any questions he might have." I said while walking in the main front doors of Fanshawe College.

Fanshawe College was located in London, Ontario. It was a great school, it was mostly known for having a lot of talented artists graduate.

As we walked through the classroom door we were greated by our professor Deborah, "Abigail, Sarah, how nice of you girls to finally join us," she said in the most sarcastic way possible.

I sat down holding my gaze on Deb which was now talking to the class outloud at the front of the room. "So, what did I miss?" I asked Christina as quietly as possible. "Oh not much, she just started talking to us all right now." Great I thought, we didn't miss anything important.

Once Deborah got done talking about the hours and where our exam would be held there was an upscene amount of volume with everyone in the room chatting. "Abigail!" Jen called out from the other side of the room. Our room was covered with all kinds of fabrics and clothing manikins which were always dressed with projects people were working on. Some good, some I wondered how they even got accepted into the program.

I looked over at Jen and gave an expression as if to say "what?"

"Come here!" She called out again. I got up from my chair and walked over to where she was sitting with another group of girls that just stared at me the whole time while I continued to talk to her. "What's going on?" I asked. "I heard you went out with a certain somebody this past weekend." Dangit Sarah I thought, always telling people my business. "Yeah, Jake, why do you care?" I asked. "Oh nothing, I didn't know you were two were dating." Dating? Oh I see... If I just as much hang out with a guy that all of a sudden means I'm dating him. "We're not dating... we're just friends, and we happen to like each"---- she cut me off with "See girls, their not dating, I told you there wasn't anyway they could be." she said reassuringly to the other group of girls. "What's that suppose to mean?" I asked in a high pitched sounding voice. "Nothing.. don't worry about it."

I walked away hearing laughter behind me. I swear Jen could be such a bitch sometimes.

"What was that about?" Sarah asked me when I sat back down at my desk with various different shaped buttons everywhere on the table.

"Seems like someone told Jen about my date with Jake last weekend." I said, directing that someone was her.

"I'm sorry Aby, it slipped last night at the bar...I.. I forgot that I mentioned that..Please don't hate me." she winced with a sad puppy dog face.

"I don't hate you, I'm just dissapointed is all." I said looking down at the buttons on my desk thinking about which ones would go great with my buttoned down blouse shirt/dress.

I was first going to make it asa shirt blouse but once I dressed the manikin still having extra fabric at the bottom I noticed that it could be worn as a dress and look half decent. So I did some stitching and hemming and once I got it fitted right, it looked amazing. Now it was all about accessories and a few touches here and there. This was our last project before our final exam at the end of the month. Our project instructions were to design anything we wanted..only it had to be something unordinary.

The dress is mostly purple with some soft white and pink colors throughout. I sowed on belt loops with extra fabric, including a slim white leather clutch belt. The inside of the cuffs I made the same shade of pink in the dress. The sleeves may be worn folded or unfolded at the hands, or rolled up quarter length of the arms. All that it was missing now were the perfect buttons. It's difficult to decide because there are so many different shapes, textures, sizes, number of holes, and of course colors.

At this point I sorted them all out and narrowed it down to the only white and lilac-pink colors as in the dress. Which unfortunately was still a lot.

"I don't feel good." I told Sarah who was sitting at her desk hot glueing fake diamonds to her knee lengthed paneled skirt.

"Sorry.. What?" She asked taking her Ipod headphones out of her ears, clearly she didn't hear a word I said.

"I said I don't feel good..."I repeated, holding my stomach. "I feel like I might throw up."

"Oh dear, well do you want me to goto the bathroom with you?"

"No..It's okay..I'll be right back." I slowly got up with one hand on my stomach and one covering my mouth as I walked out the doorway down the hall to the ladies room.

"Sooo.. feel better?" Sarah asked when I got back to my desk.

"No... I threw up what I ate this morning... I hope I don't get sick, I'm already always tired from working over-time at the hospital." I said before laying my head down on top of my desk.

"Think maybe you picked something up at the hospital?" She asked while rubbing my back. Sarah was always comforting, always there when you got sick or just needed someone to talk to who was uplifting. The only downfall was that she didn't always keep everything to herself, Jake being one of them.

"I don't know, maybe...But this doesn't feel like the ordinary flu." I started getting cramps and then my boobs started aching.

"Owwwww...." I whined.

"What is it?" Sarah sounded really worried by this point. "My stomach hurts and now my boobs." "Maybe your pregnant." Sarah whispered. "Shhh...Sarah...I am not.. I am not pregnant." I whispered back. "Well you and Jake did have unprotected sex.. and you just threw up for no reason." She said as quietly and rationally as possible.

I did have unprotected sex(another thing I shouldn't have mentioned to Sarah), but Jake knew I wasn't on birth control...besides he pulled out I thought, trying to reassure myself that I was not pregnant.

"He pulled out!" I said in defence.

"Doesn't matter, there's still precum." She announced as if she was the expert in sex.

Of course I knew this too.. But the unlikely of that is slim to none.

2010 summer break

Whenever I watch disney movies it reminds me of my childhood. I miss being young. It makes me sad just thinking about it. Now I have a little boy who will be growing up on them as I did. Walt Disney you rock.

I went to Disney World this past February in Orlando, Florida of course. We had an amazing time. Personally I loved just lying on the beach in Miami. If I were 7 years old again I would have enjoyed Disney World more for sure.

It's amazing how much stuff amuses you when you're a kid, but when you get older the things that didn't amuse you when you were little does now and vice versa. However, the one thing that will never not amuse me are Disney movies.

My son and I are watching The Little Mermaid right now, my personal favorite as a kid.

---------
Right now I'm in Arizona visiting friends and family. I got here May 1st and I'm here till June 19th and than I leave to Seattle till the end of July to see my family and friends there. So far i've been having a pretty good break. My friend Courtney and I went to Las Vegas last weekend. We had a lot of fun and got a tattoo to celebrate our friendship basically. I got a butterfly with my libra sigh on the back of my neck. Looks really cool, I like it.

At the moment I don't have any other plans. Just kinda taking a day at a time.

Nothingness

To much stuff due AGAIN! Just when I thought I had everything under control I got slammed with more assignments due in less than a week. I only wish to have 1 day just 1 day! To have to myself ALONE to catch up on things I want and need to do. For instance, shaving my legs, seeing friends, getting some exercise, READ my book that I bought several months ago but haven't even got to read a page yet, S L E E P, and have some free uninturrupted time to work on assignments. I just don't have enought time during the day to get everything done. I goto school from 8-5 everyday, pick my son up after, cook dinner, feed him, change him, clean up, (don't ask how I am able to write this) somehow I managed to get in some blog time today, WOOT. But honestly my day never ends until about 11pm. Then it's off to bed and before I know it I am waking up at 5am to make sure Carsten gets to the babysitters by 7. I would really like to have someone be in my shoes for the day, or better yet the whole month.

I found out today that I didn't do so hot as I thought I did on my PR Exam. 66%... not so good at all. Exactly I was surprised I did so poorly considering I studied quite a bit. The teacher I find marks harder as well. I have no PR experience, nor did I even know what a PR did or was, I still don't. It's all good though, I don't plan on going into that type of field at all so I am not to worried. I find it to be a very boring class, it's all common sense stuff basically but the assignments are always hard. I do like the teacher though so I guess thats a plus.

Birthday Girl

My Birthday was on the 5th. I'm officially no longer a teenager. And it feels great to say I am 20 years old! I am getting my hair cut tomorrow and that is what the above image is for. That is the hair cut I am going with.

My boyfriend got me a coach purse for my birthday. It's a little wristlet perfect for when I am out clubbing or just need something small and compact to carry my money around. He totally read my mind getting me that too which is the weird part. I never once mentioned about wanting one and the day before he gives it to me I had almost bought one from Costa Blanca. However, Coach is much better :) I am such a douche though I never knew that coach was top of the line purses until I looked it up. So the next time I see him I owe him a much more appreciated thank you! We have been dating for 5 months now!

College is going great, 1 month down, 2 to go till Christmas break. I find it actually pretty easy, although the second year class said it does get harder.

I cleaned out alot of stuff yesterday, clothes mostly. One of the main reasons was so I could have more closet space. It's hard getting rid of clothes especially ones that have some sentimental value to you. But it feels good donating as well so it's alright.

Anyhow, I can't wait till this weekended. Oktoberfesting with my girlfriends friday and then my party is on saturday. The oktoberfest here in Kitchener-Waterloo happens to be one of the second biggest oktoberfest celebrations in the world next to the one in Germany. Which is a pretty big deal and I'm glad to be a part of it!

Carsten is going to be two in December. He's growing each and every day. Right now he is hooked on the word "Uh-Oh" he says it about 10000 times a day! However, he makes me laugh each and every time and it is soooo cute how he says it :) I just have to record it one of these days on my video camera.

That's it for now, well update you another time.

Would You Rather?

So Tuesday night my mom and I spontaneously decided to drive up North to the Muskoka lakes. Being spontaneous as we were, it surprisingly ended up being a great adventure. The beginning wasn't so great. We ended up sleeping in the car with my son and dog. It was quite entertaining to say the least. I couldn't sleep, I kept waking up to my mom opening and shutting both the car door and window, over and over and over again! There we're misquitos in the car and not a whole lot of room to stretch out. And on top of that, I woke up to rain and having to goto the bathroom and not just pee... Yeah! The rest of the day turned out good, it stopped raining and we went to the farmer's market and a few antique/gift shops. Ate yummy food and listened to some old music in the car. Walked along a few nature/historic sites.. overall it was a pretty awesome time. I have to say spending the day with my mom helped me realize something about me.I believe when being with someone lets you see things about who you are a little better, then that someone is a little more special in some way.I feel like I've come to know a new tiny thing about me and how I approach life, which was probably just on a subconscious level before.I don't want people to be mesmerized by me.That is not what I seek.…

A few hard, "would you rather" questions answered in my opinion..

Would you rather love and not be loved back or be loved but never love?

Well since having gone through both sitsuations I can honestly choose which one I would rather. I would rather be loved but never love back. Simply because loving someone and them not having the same feeling towards you is just unbareable! It's heartbreaking, painful, embarrasing and just down right ugly. But being loved and not having the same feelings towards that someone is easy, well not easy, but easier. You feel bad but at least your not the one to have your heart broken, which in my opinion is one of the hardest emotional states you could possibly go through in life.

Would you rather lick peanut butter off a homeless person's foot or go to jail for 3 years?

This one makes me laugh. Well ultimately I wouldn't want to do either of them. But since it's a "would you rather" question, I have to choose at least one. I've never been to jail, nor would I ever want to, especially for 3 years. I've seen many homeless people in my life, and some aren't as dirty as others. So I would have to go with the first choice. And most likely puke afterwards.

Would you rather save my life or your's?

Wow. Well I would hope never to be in this sitsuation in my life. But it all depends on the person I would be saving instead of my own. If it's a family member or my children or a really good best friend.. I would have to choose saving their life instead of my own. If it's a random stranger I just met, I would rather save my own. Reason's for my first choice is that well their my family that's pretty self explanatory and second, I don't know this person, I don't know what they did in their life. Unless it was a child, then I would obviously put my life in danger for theirs. So ultimately, I would rather save their life, instead of my own.

Would you save 5 of your loved ones, or save 100,000 strangers in another country?

Again, I hope never to be in a sitsuation life this in my life. 100,000 lives is alot, alot of pain and heartbreak that goes along with it in others lives as well. However, I would rather save 5 of my loved ones. There's alot of people in this world but the ones that are closest to you are unreplaceable.

Would you rather die by the side of the person you love or live by the side of a person you can't stand?

I would most deffiantely rather die by the side of the person I love, than to live by the side of a person I can't stand. Why? Well living with someone I can't stand would probably make me want to die anyway. And then I would be dieing alone, and no one wants to die alone. So of course I would rather die with someone, and if it happens to be that person I love, then totally.

Would you rather die of cancer or being eaten alive by a shark?

Oh boy, I am down right terrified of sharks! But after seeing my Grandmother die of cancer.. I don't think I would want to go that way either. However, my grandmother died beside the people that loved and cared for her the most. She knew she was dieing and she made the most out of her life those past 5 months. Her ashes were taken away from the tide and laid to rest at the bottom of the ocean. I think I would rather go knowing than not knowing. I mean if your attacked by a shark you pretty much know your going to die any minute but to know your going to die of cancer.. At least you'll have a few months to live your life than a few seconds and not be able do anything. Especially seeing all your loved ones, and telling them what you want to say before you pass on.

Would you rather save your mother or partner/spouse from a house fire?

Another tough one. Man these are hard. I would choose neither. I would rather die with them both than to live with one, because living without one, would be hard.

Would you rather have an abortion or give your child up for adoption?

I've been through this sitsuation before and I choose having my child, and keeping my child. But since that's neither of the options I can't choose that. After having a kid and seeing other parents, I couldn't imagine someone else raising my child, nor could I abort it either. Until I'm in that sitsuation I cannot say to be honest. I guess it all depends on the reasons before of why I am needing an abortion or adoption to begin with.

Would you rather fly when you fart, or pee when you laugh?

Hahahaha. Well I wouldn't want to pee when I laugh because I laugh alot. However, I've always wanted to fly, and I rarely fart. So of course I would rather fly when I fart. Haha.

Would you rather have a unibrow, or buck teeth?

I would rather have a unibrow, than buck teeth. Easier to fix!

Would you rather be loved and know love, but have it taken away from you in your life, or go through existence never witnessing love?

My god that's a hard question. Ridiculously, probably the hardest "Would You Rather" questions I've read. If we are talking about family love, then that's like asking would you rather have a sibling and have it be taken away from you, or not have a sibling at all? Which is a very, very, very almost impossible question! I absolutely love having a sister, but having her taken away would probably not be very pleasant in the least bit. So I guess not having a sister at all. So ultimately, the second choice. If we are talking about a significant other love, I think the second choice as well. I believe it's rather rare to find love first of all, but then again I don't think I would want to go through existence never witnessing love either. That doesn't make sense, but. I really don't think I answered the question, but I want(ed) to.

Would you rather be trapped in an elevator with wet dogs or with three fat men with bad breath?

I can't stand bad breath, and if im trapped in a elevator I will most likely be talking to someone. Therefore, I would rather be with wet dogs. (After all, I do love dogs).
